Must be a self motivated individual with good communication & demonstrable liaison skills with up to date knowledge and previous experience of working with children, including assessment of children and their carers needs in relation to home environment, providing expert advice, and assessments for equipment and home modifications /adaptations, moving and handling assessments and reducing or minimising the need for care packages. This will include being a duty worker. Embracing the social model of disability, and practice based on holistic and person centred care. An awareness of the importance of safeguarding children. Knowledge of ICS would be an advantage but not essential. The children and families Occupational therapy team (CFOT) are a county wide service so ability to travel is essential. The CFOT is a well established resilient team with a strong ethos for training which includes Idapt.
