To offer an Occupational Therapy Service to older people and adults with a physical and/or sensory impairment and their carers’ in North Somerset.
Expected to undertake specialist or technical assessments/activities and make decisions based on those assessments within a service function using skills that would have been gained through professional qualifications. Assessments take place in the community, including Care Homes, and Service User’s homes.
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Registered as an Occupational Therapist with Health and Care Professionals Council.
Knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to Occupational Therapy in health and social care settings including safeguarding adults, Mental Capacity Act, Data Protection, Housing and Regenerations Act, Care Act, Equality and Diversity. NHS Act.
