We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed term qualified Occupational Therapist to work with local residents who require a period of assessment and reablement. This position be based in Southend Borough Council’s Single Point of Access and will mainly be cover two care homes in Southend that have been commissioned to provide short term reablement and assessment beds for local residents to enable discharge and prevent admission to/from Hospital.
Ideally you will have some experience of working with residents who require short-term interventions to maximise independence and who may have complex needs. You will be committed to ensuring that residents regain control of their lives and will have ability to work under pressure and deliver quality outcomes.
Specifications
- Qualified Occupational Therapist Worker DIPCOT/BScOT/MSCOT ( Registered with HCPC)
- Qualified as an Occupational Therapist in the last six months and/or practicing as a Qualified Occupational Therapist in a relevant setting
- Eligibility to work in the UK
