Job description:
Cambridgeshire County Council are seeking a qualified Social Worker within their 14-25 specialist UASC team. The role can be based at Cambridge or Huntingdon, travel is required as part of the role.The post requires experience in working within a LAC framework, in accordance with the Children Act (1989) as well as experience in working with asylum seeking children and Care Leavers.
The applicant will need to have experience with completing Merton compliant age assessments, and visual assessments, so assessment and analytical skills are required. They will be supporting young people through an incredibly stressful period of time, so understanding and empathy will be needed to provide these young people with a nurturing response to their difficulties.
The successful applicant will need to be robust and passionate about working with young people.
Specifications:
Qualified Social Worker and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
3 years+ PQE.
